It's what your dog doesn't want you to know. Eleven brave dogs bare all.
These eleven dogs are of different breeds and upbringing. They share their wisdom. It is heart-warming, funny and just so true.
For example there is Sarge, a German shepherd, who keeps losing his jobs because he gets too involved in them. When he was working at the hospital he formed very special relationships with people whose lives on earth were about to end. He would spend all day with a person who would then die quietly in the night. But when this happened several times people just didn't want him to visit them. So he had to find another job.
There was another dog who was going to tell us the REAL reason dogs eat grass, when a chipmunk appeared and he had to rush off. So I still don't know why...
One story had me in tears 'written' by Sophie, an old dog who'd always lived with her first owner. She was consoling her owner--telling her owner not to worry, because dogs are not irreplaceable, so she could get another when she (Sophie) passed on. Sophie then suddenly realised that what was irreplaceable was her owner. Chewy is pretty grey in the muzzle and I am not convinced that he can be replaced.
So some stories are sad, but most of them are funny and light hearted. Orson the bulldog is obsessed with food (so is Chewy), Dimples the boxer explains the bed rules (Chewy thinks it's not fair that he is not allowed on the bed) and Axelrod (Chewy doesn't understand 'dinnertime' and 'breakfast'--we use the word kibble in our pack; but 'treat' and 'walk' are probably universally recognises by dogs)
It's classified 636.7 ... That means it's not fiction. Chewy and I both know it is --ALL TRUE, FACT, NO JOKING!
