Only yesterday [Friday 24 October 2014] did the Australian government acknowledge native title to the Aborigines of ‘Fraser Island’. It is a significant but small step towards reconnecting Butchulla people with Country.

I’m glad to see that the Island’s name is now officially N’gari.
And one thing (among many) that I hope will now be possible is that the Butchulla people will be able to reclaim their relationship with the dingo.
