I've tried hard to dislike this book—but I've given up! How could I ever dislike Samson as he looks at me from the cover? His gaze is intelligent, frank and open; it invites but does not demand.
I have read the book over and over again with the obsession of a three-year old wanting bedtime reading. I can't resist a book that is so clever and so much fun.
Chewy remains scathing of it. He remains convinced that he, and he alone, is No.1 K9, and is nagging me to get his book published. He has never claimed to be patient—instant gratification is his tune. But the book is in the pipeline and should be on sale by the end of the month...
Of course, Chewy is still my 'top dog', but my love is big enough to encompass other dogs and their humans. Thank you Rod for sharing Samson with us.
[But may I suggest you get a plumber in to deal with the drainage in his bathroom.]
